Create a Scoutbook account for your son

Create a Scoutbook account for your son

A parent is the only one who can give a Scout access to his Scoutbook records. Scout leaders do not have the ability to create a Scoutbook account for your child.

So make sure the parent is connected to the Scout account / record in the Scout’s Connections page. Also make sure the parent has the Parent/Guardian connection role with either Full Control or Edit Profile permissions.

The parent can then login to Scoutbook and edit the profile of their son.

Invite your Scout to connect to his own account at the bottom of the page.

He will need his own email account. Enter this email address and press invite. A temporary password will be emailed to him.

Enter Scout's email address to allow him to use Scoutbook

The Scout can then record the advancements he has completed, as well as upload photos and videos related to ranks and merit badges. This can be especially useful for merit badges where the Scout needs to visit someplace or demonstrate a task. They can take a picture or record a video and upload directly to that requirement.
